In addition to our two local family physicians, Lucan residents have immediate access to thirty-six physicians serving Middlesex County (population 66,640) and three hundred and forty-six physicians servicing the City of London (population 355,169). The township has recently been approved for their application to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care to obtain the designation as being underserviced for family physicians. It is anticipated that this designation will prompt interest for family physicians to locate their practice in our municipality.
